EPPC Distinguished Senior Fellow George Weigel received the third honorary doctorate ever bestowed by the Ukrainian Catholic University, prior to addressing the university’s commencement on July 6. The citation noted Weigel’s contributions to the analysis of religion’s role in modern society and to a deeper global understanding of the special witness borne by the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. The UCU degree was Weigel’s eighteenth doctorate honoris causa. His commencement address is available here.
