EPPC Fellow Carter Snead was appointed to serve as U.S. Permanent Observer for the Council of Europe's Bioethics Steering Committee (CDBI). In that capacity, he (and Dr. Edmund Pellegrino, Chairman of the President's Council on Bioethics) will represent the United States in Strasbourg by observing and commenting on the CDBI's efforts to elaborate international instruments and standards for the ethical governance of science and medicine.
