EPPC Vice President to Serve on Religious Freedom Commission
Michael Cromartie Nominated by President Bush

EPPC Vice President Michael Cromartie has been nominated by President George W. Bush for a two-year term on the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom.

The Commission was established in 1998 with the goal of monitoring religious freedom in other countries and advising the President, the Secretary of State, and Congress on how best to promote it. Ms. Preeta D. Bansal, the Commission's chairman, said in a statement that the Commission looks forward "to the insights and contributions of Commissioner Cromartie as we work to advance freedom of thought, conscience, and religion or belief around the world."
